is certified by the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) as a
QMS 2000 Lead Auditor. He is also certified by the Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) as a Quality Systems Auditor.
These certifications assure you that he has the background to help you successfully
implement your ISO 9000 Quality Management System. To attain this certification, he completed extensive training, passed written
exams on ISO 9000 and participated in numerous audits. To maintain this
certification, Michael participates in professional development activities and
regularly performs audits to the standard. Total
Quality Michael’s
experience includes all elements of Total Quality implementation, with special
emphasis on training, facilitating and coaching. Michael has custom designed and
delivered training programs on all quality topics, including continuous process
improvement, team skills, TQM, customer service and strategic planning. He has
facilitated process improvement teams, resulting in measurable improvements in
cycle time, cost and customer satisfaction. He has coached all levels of
management to ensure attainment of quality objectives. Quality
Assurance Michael’s work in Quality Assurance dates back to the early 1980’s when he joined the Quality Assurance Department at Newport News Shipbuilding. His work there provided him with an understanding of QA principles and their application. His specific areas of responsibility included configuration management, document control, process control, control of non-conforming product, corrective action, quality records, internal quality audits, training and statistical techniques. While working at the shipyard, Michael attained certification as an American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). Michael
earned his Bachelor's Degree in an honors program from Georgetown University and
his Master of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary. Michael is a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). He has attended the George Washington University certified training on project management. His publications include a book, “Process Improvement: Achieving Quality Together,” and papers published in conjunction with national quality conferences.
